This new device from Aerb actually serves two functions – well, actually three. First, it is a well designed and well manufactured case for protecting your iPad and it fits into the briefcase (or seat pocket in front of you on the airplane). Second, it comes with a removable (repeat, comfortably removable keyboard attached by magnets) that slips into place easily and makes your iPad a laptop computer. And third, it comes with a converting stand so that it can be placed on the desktop in a substantial manner making it an easily accessible, away-from-home connection with the world.

The packaging is substantial and strong enough to allow the device to arrive unharmed. The package contains the detachable Bluetooth keyboard case, a USB charging cable, and an instruction book – though assemblage is so easy you really don’t need much in the way of instruction. There is a built in lithium battery which is easily rechargeable.

For handsome protection for you iPad 5 or iPad Air that increases the variations of usage, this is a fine product. It also comes with a warranty that always lets you know that the company stands behind the quality of their product. Grady Harp, November 13

iPad Air works great w/ this keyboard, December 10, 2013

Great little keyboard & case. Works very well with my iPad Air. The case fits well & protects as it should. Removable keyboard makes it nice to use the case alone when you wish. Plus without the keyboard it is lighter not that it’s too heavy w/ it. The only negative is that charging of the keyboard is necessary all the time. I find that even when I haven’t used it (after a full charge) & haven’t even turned it on, when I plug it in it charges several hours still back to a full charge. (Where the red light goes out) bluetooth connection was also very easy.

Update: I have also uploaded a video review of the Aerb Bluetooth Keyboard Case for iPad Air. Item: Aerb Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard PU Leather Case for iPad Air

I have been typing on the Aerb bluetooth keyboard case and I’m impressed with the quality of this item.

Please see my video review here:
    […]

I’m pleasantly surprised by the design and tactile feel of the keyboard included in the Aerb® Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard Case for Apple for iPad Air. The keyboard feels good, has a positive tactile feel and responds the way one would expect it to respond. The keyboard is made of excellent materials complimented by the utilization of excellent workmanship. I have tried some other keyboard cases that utilize “soft keys” and I personally prefer the design of the Aerb Keyboard with its hard plastic ABS key tops and positive tactile response. I have found that I make less errors, typos and other typing mistakes on this type of keyboard. Other designs incorporate soft keys and I seem to miss those at times when I don’t hit each key slowly and firmly. This design is, in my opinion a superior design and Aerb definitely got this right.

I have been using this keyboard case to type and have found the keyboard to be easy to get used to unlike other small bluetooth keyboards suitable for the iPad Air. I have both black and white versions of the item and the manufacturing of the case is designed and implemented in a high quality fashion. This keyboard case seems to be made to last. What I like most is the fact that this keyboard case does not add bulk, girth and dos not increase the thickness, length or width by much at all. The keyboard case measures 115mm X 61mm X 11.6mm and the whole package is compact yet solid and it feels like it provides ample protection to my iPad Air at the same time as allowing me to continue to enjoy the smaller compact size of the iPad Air. The case is soft and will provide regular protection not unlike how a Folio case would. This is not a heavy duty case but more like a fashionable well designed case. Some people will elect to put this whole package in a bag and that will work very well too. In any event, the iPad Air is fully protected from scratches when the case is closed.

Many will like the fact that the design of the keyboard is not only flexible but it can be removed and then placed back in the case easily thanks to the design of the four magnets on the corners that hold the keyboard in place when you want the keyboard to sit in the case. At the same time, there is also a kickstand design that allows the keyboard case to act as a well designed strong and dependable stand. Please note that I have not enjoyed several other case designs (from other companies) that utilized a design to allow an iPad to stand (including Apple’s smart covers) but I have found I can be confident with the the Aerb keyboard case’s kickstand design and implementation. The iPad Air does not seem like it will fall over or fall back at all, ever.

I should add that in terms of the design and look of the case itself, my girlfriend saw the black Aerb keyboard case first and thought it looked good and was well made. When she saw the white version, she immediately had a smile on her face and stated that this was not only a nicely designed case but it was also somewhat of a profound fashion statement and many women would probably like to carry this just as they would enjoy carrying a well designed handbag. She liked the white model very much and although she doesn’t usually use a bluetooth keyboard for her iPad (I almost always do), she liked the fact that the keyboard was removable and the case could be carried with or without the keyboard on any given day for any desired purpose. I didn’t know what to expect in terms of craftsmanship when I ordered this keyboard case so I should state clearly that I was indeed surprised at the quality of the stitching and the proficiently designed cutouts perfectly implemented for all of the iPad Air’s cameras and other necessary components that will still serve us well with iPad Air in its case.

The pro’s are indeed plentiful as this keyboard case protects both sides of the iPad Air and its kickstand, keyboard and bluetooth implementation are well designed.

The only con I can find is that the kickstand design doesn’t serve one well when one wants to use the iPad Air on one’s lap. Additionally, the delete/backspace key is in the second row and I’m used to it being in the top row in iPad keyboard cases. Before I was used to this, I locked the screen by accident several times but then was able to use the dedicated home key to easily and immediately turn back on/unlock the screen. I’m used to this now and can now use both designs of bluetooth keyboards effectively so I don’t consider this an issue at all; just a design choice.
